Owen Godoy

Magnet

Crowded ECity doesn’t see many fresh faces these days, but a few still wash up on its damp streets each year.

A fourth year resident alien, “the Magnet” is still decidedly foreign, attracting tiny visitors one moment and pulled into strange orbits the next. It’s only a matter of time before someone starts asking where this vague boy really belongs.

Nora Santiago

Girl 19

A thirteen-year-old girl who might just have the EVIL EYE, depending on who you ask. There’s no doubt it’s why her mother reluctantly brought her to Skytown’s old super.

Yet as the most recent addition to the pack, Nora’s not so sure if being a WOLF is making her little problem better or worse. And while she’s careful to keep every stray thought to herself, there are times Girl Nine can’t help but feel as if she’s slipping under her own spell.

Gilberto Reis

Hightop

Never quite given up on the mystery of his father’s death, Gilberto has grown impatient to escape Skytown and assume responsibility for his real family.

Yet as currents above and below the streets begin to run together, Hightop is just discovering the dangerous loyalties he owes his pack as well.

Héctor Garcia-Zhao

Satellite

A wild LOBLITO (little wolf) before he met the old super of Skytown, he’s also the estranged son of the famous local bruja, La Dama Carmín.

At fifteen, Satellite is about to graduate from both school and the Skytown pack with few official prospects. Yet all along, he’s been pursuing secret dreams of his own—

some of which have begun to stalk him in return.

Essie Waters

Hush

At the end of her run, Essie is only just understanding the reasons she was brought to Skytown’s old super.

Distracted by a growing suspicion that her beloved Grandma Bright may never have left, Hush isn’t sure she’s in any position to challenge the direction Satellite has begun to steer their pack.

Yamil Bennis

Junktown

Was there ever anything wrong with Prof. Bennis’ son to begin with? More than one wolf has wondered why he was dropped into their pack.

Yet, Junktown’s a useful mate to have on hand when your wave is on the fritz or you’re locked out of somewhere you want to be. And if someone was ever going to find enough pieces to get the big picture assembled, it would be Junktown. That’s assuming anyone really wants the big picture.

Janko Pindek

Steampipe

GüERRO (”Blondie”) doesn’t even begin to describe Janko Pindek, boy voted most likely to be hiding an actual genetic MOD somewhere in his family tree.

Steampipe wouldn’t mind the rumor except he can’t be sure if it’s true himself. So just in case, Janko’s decided to be the strongest, bravest WOLF that Skytown has ever seen.

Adela Garcia-Ortiz

Bromista

Until recently the youngest member of the Skytown pack, Bromista (Joker) has no doubts about why she’s running or where. With her scarlet boots and flame dyed pigtails, she’s determined to be the gamest wolf in the Low,

outmatching even her notorious brother.

But even the fastest runner pauses for breath ocassionally, and then Adelita can’t help listening for some distant call from across the rising waters.

Lula Khan

PosterBoy

According to her father, Lula’s poised to become the perfect young lady. Her packmates may have slightly different ideas. Either way, this Poster Boy is used to getting all the attention she wants (or maybe a bit more) with a smile and a touch of upspeak.

However, there are moments when Lula disappears someplace even her best mate, Bromista, can’t discover.

Ezra So

Meeting the SKYTOWN PACK for the first time, Ezra can’t figure what TRANCE RUNNING could possibly have to do with the recent attack on his family-

until he begins to notice some disturbing similarities between his new companions and the monster who left his brother floating in a Bellevue Hospital surgical tub.

What went wrong that hard times could ever reach so high as SKYTOWN?

Bound with skyways and green-spilling balconies, the narrow glass stems pushed up through the city haze to impossibly fragile heights like a thicket of fairytale BEANPOLES.

However its residents had yet to discover so much as a single golden egg hidden above the clouds.

Everyone knew THE TREES hadn’t grown as planned. Inexorable as bamboo, the Frankenstein giants had chewed up the old park at the island’s center. Smelling of camphor, their furrowed bark was deep enough to lose a hand in. Clusters of dagger-long pinecones threatened the few scraps of sky still visible in the tightly woven canopy.

Parrots screeched from the gloom. Vermillion mosquito traps swayed like Chinese lanterns. Between sinuous roots, jagged shards of an ancient walkway pushed free of the ground like the teeth of some buried giant. And deep at the forest’s heart, a crumbling observatory sat besieged above muddy, frog-infested waters.
