Our Lady of Perpetual Motiona new mongrel by
In a different 1980s New York, the once bankrupt city has become economically independent of the U.S. under the direction of five multinational corporations. Factories have opened, new residents have flooded in, people are working. Underage Phelo isn’t one of them. He isn’t going to school, either. Instead, Phelo has decided to hang with a pack of transcendental city runners who do courier work for a local gangster with an interest in divine order where money is becoming a spiritual commodity. Phelo’s also listening to the whispers of a guardian spirit that might prefer him dead. Can a rebellious girl with a hero’s name and a gunrunning anarchist help Phelo survive his first strides into this dangerous new world?
